Social Venue

For the third year we return for the social side of the Icicle Meet to the Elcot Park Hotel, just off the A4 between Newbury and Hungerford (map). Actually, those of you who have been around long enough at Icicle will remember that we used the Elcot as our base between 1976 and 1984. In the meantime it has been extended and upgraded substantially, and is now a large and very smart country hotel with all the facilities that you could ask for. It is rated as a 4 Star hotel, and it certainly feels like one.

The Trade Stands will operate in the function room on the Saturday and Sunday in the same way that they have in recent years, and in the early evening they will be cleared to one side to allow space for the tables for the Saturday evening dinner. The dinner will comprise a 3 course set meal, followed by an entertaining after-dinner speaker, details of which will follow. Dinner tickets may be purchased, in advance, from Celia Kunert using the form on the website.
